The Ohio State Buckeyes are one of the top stories in college basketball this year, starting big ten play with an impressive 9-0 record.
They were predicted to finish 9th in the Big Ten preseason poll, but they are vastly improving as the season goes along. They are looking for a bounce back win, though, after a devastating loss against Penn State this past Thursday.
The Buckeyes take on a gritty Indiana team at Value City Arena Tuesday. The Hoosiers are led by 6’8 junior Juwan Morgan, who is averaging 16 ppg and 7.1 rpg.
6’7 junior Ketia Bates-Diop and 6’4 senior Jae’Sean Tate are an explosive duo in the 2017-18 season for the Buckeyes, though, and will hope to lead the Buckeyes to their tenth Big Ten victory. Bates-Diop leads the big ten in scoring with 19.9 ppg and sits at third in the big ten in rebounds with 8.6 per contest.
Indiana began a brutal 4 game stretch on Sunday. The Hoosiers hosted Purdue in Assembly Hall on Sunday, then travels to Columbus to take on Ohio State today, and they finish the tough stretch against 6th ranked Michigan State on February 3rd in Bloomington. An entertaining matchup between the 18-5 (9-1) Buckeyes and the 12-10 (5-5) Hoosiers awaits today, January 30th.
