One of the most exciting aspects of being a baseball fan is seeing top prospects develop into all-stars. Even if your favorite team is out of contention and is forced to trade their best players, the season is still a thrill because of the possibility of acquiring the next wave of young talent. These are some of the most MLB-ready prospects who will make major impacts on their respective teams this year, and for many years to come.

1) Yoan Moncada, 2B CWS

Level: Triple-A

The White Sox struck gold when they acquired Moncada from the Red Sox as part of the package for lefty ace Chris Sale. Moncada has done nothing but hit since joining Chicago’s organization. He owns an impressive .331 average in Triple-A with 6 homeruns and 15 RBIs. It’s important to remember that this guy is only 22 years old. He has the potential to be one of the best hitting second basemen in the league, and will be a difference maker up the middle for Chicago.
