According to MLB.com, the Brewers have the 5th best farm system in all of baseball going into the 2018 season.

10) Lucas Erceg (3B)

Erceg was drafted in the second round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the Brewers. Erceg will turn 23 in May. He spent most of the season in Advanced-A (Carolina) but was called up to AAA (Colorado Springs) at the very end of the season.

2017 Stats: 131 Hits, 35 2Bs, 15 HRs, 83 RBIs, .259 AVG

9) Isan Díaz (2B/SS)

Diaz was drafted in the second round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Diamondbacks. He spent all of 2017 in Advanced-A (Carolina). His season was cut short due to surgery on his hamate. Diaz was the Brewers 2016 Minor-League Player of the Year.

2017 Stats: 85 Hits, 20 2Bs, 13 HRs, 54 RBIs, .222 AVG

8) Mauricio Dubón

Dubon was drafted in the 26th round of the 2013 MLB Draft by the Red Sox. He was acquired by the Brewers in the 2017 trade that also brought Travis Shaw. Dubon is 23 years old and was knocking on the MLB’s door last season. He was selected to be a part of the 2017 MLB Future’s Game in Miami.

2017 Stats: 135 Hits, 29 2Bs, 8 HRs, 57 RBIs, .274 AVG

7) Corey Ray (OF)

Ray was drafted in the first round (5th overall) of the 2016 MLB Draft by the Brewers. Ray is 23 years old. He spent all of the 2017 campaign in Advanced-A (Carolina) but is expected to make a big jump in 2018.

2017 Stats: 107 Hits, 29 2Bs, 7 HRs, 48 RBIs, .238 AVG

6) Luis Ortiz (RHP)

Ortiz was drafted in the first round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the Rangers. Ortiz is a 22 year-old right-handed pitcher from California. He played all of 2017 in AA (Biloxi) where he started 20 games.

2017 Stats: 4-1, 4.01 ERA, 1.23 WHIP

5) Monte Harrison (OF)

Harrison was drafted in the second round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Brewers. Harrison just turned 22 in August. Harrison started 2017 in A (Wisconsin), but midway though the season he was called up to Advanced-A (Carolina).

2017 Stats: 123 Hits, 28 2Bs, 21 HRs, 67 RBIs, .272 AVG

4) Keston Hiura (2B)

Hiura was drafted in the first round (9th overall) of the 2017 MLB Draft by the Brewers. Hiura recently turned 21. Hiura didn’t start playing with the organization until June. However, he tore it up in the Rookie League and was quickly called up to A (Wisconsin).

2017 Stats: 62 Hits, 14 2Bs, 4 HRs, 33 RBIs, .371 AVG

3) Corbin Burnes (RHP)

Burnes was drafted in the fourth round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the Brewers. Burnes is a 23 year-old right-handed pitcher. Burnes was 5-0 in Advanced-A (Carolina) and then was promoted to AA (Biloxi) where he went 3-3 in 16 starts. Burnes was named the Brewers’ MiLB Pitcher of the Year for 2017.

2017 Stats: 8-3, 1.67 ERA, 0.95 WHIP

2) Brandon Woodruff (RHP)

Woodruff was drafted in the 11th round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Brewers. Brewers’ fans got to see Woodruff for 2 months after he joined the rotation towards the end of the season. Woodruff made his MLB Debut on August 4, 2017. The stats won’t jump out at you but Woodruff looked solid down the stretch in September for Milwaukee.

1) Lewis Brinson (OF)

Brinson was drafted in the first round (29th overall) of the 2012 MLB Draft by the Rangers. Brinson will turn 24 in May. He had a couple small stints in the Big League in 2017 but he only appeared in 21 games. Brinson was the Brewers MiLB Player of the Year in 2017. He is expected to be on the Opening Day roster in 2018.
