Both teams are coming off back to back losses and desperate for a win. This is a key game in the NFC East with both teams in the hunt as everyone in the NFC East is .500 or worse. Last week the Giants lost on a 63 yard Graham Gano field goal as time expired. The Eagles started out slow against the Vikings managing only a field goal in the first half.
The Giants offense has been in question. Last was the first time they scored 30 or more in over a year. There is plenty of blame to go around and with Odell calling out Eli Manning Sunday before their last game this locker room is facing its it’s own issue off the field.
The Eagles are in the midst of a super bowl hangover. Lane Johnson said last year that he’d rather win 1 having fun than 5 being miserable. Well this is the price you’ll pay. The Eagles are facing some injuries as Jay Ajayi is out for the year with a torn ACL. The team responded by signing Jamaal Charles.
This game is a tough one to pick as both teams are struggling. However I’ll pick the Eagles as they have the best potential and are more likely to snap out of the hangover than the Giants. The Eagles win an ugly game 21-16.
